Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is a British musician and singer. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December, 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 thanks to the catchy electro-pop tunes "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack for writing catchy yet emotionally earnest songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of modern mainstream music as well as artistic, non-conformist pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogs to print media, garnering recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. The final decision was to sign a major label agreement to Polydor Records and began making preparations to release her debut album.
