Personal highlights for Niykee include being hand-picked to join Snoop on the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs, despite the turbulence over the last few years. Being a magnet for producers, Niykee is constantly looking through the numerous beats delivered to her. The majority beats spark fresh song ideas. When I am playing my guitar on my front porch I begin writing, and words flow. Most often, I'm completed in just thirty minutes. The pain of Niykee's childhood provides constant inspiration as she develops as a writer. Niykee says that, even when she's not composing about things that are actually happening the pain due to her childhood and the loss of her sister finds its way into the music. The loss of my sister, and the memories of my childhood influences the songs that I create. It is important for me to attach a profound purpose to what I undertake.
